How it's made - K.I.T.T. Guitar (Knight Rider)

(I'm Korean. So I'm not good at English.)

Do you know K.I.T.T. ?

ye..Michael & Kitt. Knight rider!

And this is my K.I.T.T. Guitar.

It has red light that react your picking.
 How it's made?

  The original model is Squire telecaster standard(black metalic). I changed pickguard and installed Twinkler(LED circuit).

O.K. Let's Start!

At first, you should separate a neck. Because you can remove an original pickguard after that.

Next, you need LEDs. you can purcahse it at local electric parts shop.

You don't have to purchase exactly this model.

It had 4 legs. I cut legs to less drilling.

Next, I drilled on pickguard. Then I set LEDs.

I made paths to wire by iron. And I shaved soldering pod.
 To prevent bending of pickguard when it is set on body.

This is a 'Epoxy'. It's a kind of bond.

Mix two liquid.

I varnished epoxy to fix and insulate.

And I Chanegd bridge pickup to 'Hot rail'.

Set on pickguard.

Set on bridge.

I removed a tone pot. Because tele had not enough space

to build in LED circuit & battery.

And I Changed volume pot to push/pull pot. It's a turn on/off switch.
